Service Location: Cuenca, Ecuador More Information: | Overview Ecuador is the newest location for Humanitarian Experience, and it is bound to be an unforgettable experience. Exclusively for young women, this expedition is designed to complement the Young Women in Excellence program and to give participants a unique opportunity to form lasting friendships. On this trip you will be able to see many of Central America’s natural wonders, swim under waterfalls, and visit the capital city of Quito and the Middle of the World. We will be working together in the charming city of Cuenca which lies 8,000 feet above sea level, surrounded by mountains on all sides, and has one of the world’s most temperate climates throughout the whole year. There are many disadvantaged and disabled children living in cities like Cuenca, but there are not enough resources to provide social and emotional support to these children. Not only will you build an addition to the local orphanage but you will have the opportunity to work with and serve the children living there. The one-on-one nurturing you will provide to the disadvantaged and disabled children, combined with a trip to the temple in Guayaquil is bound to be life-changing.
