Raise Funds for HEFY Projects

 

Many youth have gone on trips with little to no expense to themselves. By becoming a volunteer HEFY fundraiser, you can do the same. By fund raising for HEFY, you will receive a discount on the cost of your trip based on the amount that you fund raise.

Fund Raising Tips

There are a number of ways to get involved with fund raising. Below, you will find a few tips and resources that we have provided for you. 

 

1. Texting 

The quickest, easiest way to get donations is through a text message. Each participant is assigned an individual code when they register, which can be found in the "Finances" section on your account online. Your friends and family can use your three-digit code to donate $10.00 to HEFY and your fundraising goals.

Instructions:
1. Text "HEFY XXX" to 20222**
2. Reply YES to the confirmation text

**Replace "XXX" with your individual code

A one-time donation of $10.00 will be added to your mobile phone bill or deducted from your prepaid balance. Donor must be 18+ and all donations must be authorized by the account holder (e.g. parents). By texting YES, the user agrees to the terms and conditions. All the charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. Service is available on most carriers. 2. Packets

We have created a packet for each country with suggestions and sample letters to help you in your fund raising efforts. Additionally, we have included ideas from past volunteers that may help. We recommend that you edit the letters as needed to make them personal.

Letter Tips:
1. Describe the project
2. Make it personal (Include a picture, introduce yourself, explain why you are
going on the trip, etc.)
3. Include the 501 (c)(3) approval letter

Family, friends, and businesses will want to help when they realize that you are donating your time to humanitarian service and that they can receive a tax deduction for their contribution. Don't let the cost alone stop you from joining us.
